I'd be interested in hearing Mary Henige speak at the 2011 Midwest Social Media Summit. Overseeing social media and digital communications for General Motors, Henige is sure to demonstrate how 20th century-founded businesses like GM are reinventing themselves in today;s global economy using social media.

Sounds like the Social Media Summit will have some excellent speakers. Good to see something happening for social media a bit closer to home.

Joe Pulizzi is speaking at the 2011 Midwest Social Media Summit. I heard him present in June, 2009 at the Online Marketing Summit, held at Windows on the River in the Flats. He shared user-friendly knowledge from his book, "Get Content, Get Customers."

Kurt Krejny is another local industry leader who's presenting at the 2011 Midwest Social Media Summit. He spoke in May on behalf of Northeast Ohio Usability Professionals' Association (NEOUPA). He (and his business partner, Joe Fox) shared valuable information in "Engage Customers with Local Search."
